Ski goggles – sharp vision and maximum protection on the slopes

While skiing and snowboarding, light and weather conditions are constantly changing. Bright sun, snowfall, fog and strong winds can quickly affect your vision. A good pair of ski goggles protects your eyes from UV rays, snow and cold, while keeping a sharp view of the slopes and terrain around you.

Want optimal vision and comfort on the slopes? At Specialspex you can find advanced ski goggles that we can also make on prescription. So you enjoy clear vision in all conditions, whether you’re descending the mountain on a sunny day or traveling in snow and fog.

These goggles protect your eyes from bright sunlight, windblown snow and cold wind. Nothing is more annoying than having trouble reading your piste map or your phone on the ski elevator, or not recognizing your friends properly in the distance. With prescription ski goggles, you can see sharply both near and far and concentrate fully on the descent.

Comfort and technology for optimal vision

Modern ski goggles are designed for maximum comfort and a wide field of vision. The lenses offer full UV400 protection and reduce glare from snow, reducing eye fatigue.

Many models feature anti-fog coatings and smart ventilation, which reduces lens fogging. In addition, contrast-enhancing lens technologies allow you to see relief in the snow better. This allows you to recognize potholes, bumps and ruts earlier and ski with more control and confidence.

The soft foam layer and adjustable strap ensure that the goggles fit comfortably on your face and work well with a ski helmet.

Different lens technologies for better vision

Ski goggles today use advanced lens technologies specifically designed to make contrast and depth in the snow more visible.

    Oakley Prizm
Oakley Prizm lenses are designed to enhance specific colors and contrasts in snow. This makes structures such as ice slabs, shadow zones and ruts more visible. This provides more detail and allows you to react faster to changes in terrain. Popular variants include Prizm Snow for sunny conditions and Prizm Persimmon for cloudy weather or snowfall.

    Julbo Reactiv
Julbo Reactiv lenses are self-tinting (photochromic) lenses that automatically adjust to the amount of light. They become lighter in cloudy or foggy weather and darker in bright sunlight. As a result, you always have the right light protection without having to change lenses. Many Reactiv lenses combine photochromic with contrast-enhancing technology for optimal vision in changing mountain conditions.

These technologies allow you to better read the terrain and ski with more confidence, regardless of the weather.

    Ski prescription glasses

At Specialspex we offer several ways to customize ski goggles. Some models can be fitted with prescription lenses in the visor. Almost all models we can make an insert clip with correction lenses operkerkte. So you combine optimal protection against snow, wind and sun with sharp vision while skiing or snowboarding.

Our ski goggles are available from €119 and can be fully customized to your strength and use. Whether you are an avid skier, snowboarder or recreational winter athlete: good vision is essential for safety and fun on the slopes.

Prescription ski goggles can also be made with reading part. This allows you to see sharply both far and near, without obstructing your vision. This allows you to fully focus on the slopes and enjoy your winter sports to the fullest.

    Frequently asked questions

Ski goggles fog up when warm, moist air from your face comes into contact with a cold lens. Good ski goggles have ventilation openings and an anti-fog coating to prevent this. Also make sure that your helmet and goggles fit well together and keep the foam padding of the goggles dry, so do not place them on a snowy helmet.
For changing conditions, photochromic lenses or high-contrast lenses are the most suitable. Technologies such as Julbo Reactiv or Oakley Prizm help make details in the snow more visible, regardless of sun, fog, or cloudy weather. An alternative is to choose goggles with interchangeable lenses.
In poor visibility, fog, or snowfall, yellow, pink, or orange lenses work best. These colors enhance contrast in the snow and make terrain features more visible. This helps you see bumps, tracks, and shadows on the slope more clearly, even in flat and diffuse light. These colors are not suitable for bright sunlight.
Our ski goggles can be fitted with prescription lenses or with an insert clip containing corrective lenses. This allows you to see clearly without having to wear regular glasses under your ski goggles. We recommend applying an anti-fog coating to the lenses.
